Our contact memory devices, called iButtons, are computer chips encased in 16mm stainless steel cans. iButtons are alternatives to other technologies such as, barcodes, RFID, smartcards, and prox cards. The advantage of iButtons over other technologies is durability and lower systems cost. Over 20 different iButtons are available and range from a simple 64 bit ID, to 32K bytes of password protected memory, to a complete Java processor for secure transactions, to a digital temperature data logger.
